writer of explanatory notes.
The title of this satyr, in some ancient manuscripts, was
the reproach of idleness; though in others of the scholiasts ‘tis
inscribed against the luxury of the rich. Dryden.
What Gellius or Stohaeus cook’d before,
Or chew’d by blind o’d scholiasts o’er and o’er. Dunciad.
